This was one of the builds from 2017 that turned out just like I pictured. It was also my first time building a Fuzz Face, although it was a silicon version. Back then, finding germanium transistors was a bit of a hassle both location-wise and money-wise, but the pedal ended up great.

A little modification was done to it, of course. The sustain of the circuit was set to be maxed internally, while the Sustain knob externally controls the signal level before it enters the fuzz circuit, akin to what guitarists usually do with the guitar's volume knob. Found out that I actually prefer this method of controlling the sustain instead of the original. The sound was what I expected from a silicon Fuzz Face: roaring, harsh, and "colder" for lack of a better word. Just the way I like it.
