This build holds a special place in my heart as one of my all-time favorites, made even more meaningful by the fact that its original owner still uses it to this day.
At its core lies the GCI Brutalist Jr. DIY PCB, originally made as a business card for the renowned God City Recording Studio. As a fan of Converge, I happily accept the opportunity when approached for this custom commission. The client's request to fuse the splatter pattern with Converge's iconic "Jane Doe" album cover as the pedal's graphic was a creative challenge I embraced wholeheartedly.
Sonically, this pedal packs a punch like no other, delivering a raw, unadulterated heaviness that resonates with the essence of Converge's music. Its controls navigate a spectrum from heavy to downright seismic, offering such a raw, in-your-face tone that leaves a lasting impression.
