Vanger was one of my first regular release pedals, marking a significant milestone in my journey as a pedal builder. Rooted from the Electra distortion, it underwent some modifications to increase output volume and introduce a tailored tone control. This distinctive tone control, a modified iteration sourced from an amp circuit, proved to be very effective, making it one of the main stays on my pedalboard in 2017.

While several of these units were sold throughout the year, I eventually ceased production in 2018 to pursue new circuits. However, the story of Vanger endured, as evidenced by a 2021 footswitch repair request—a testament to its popularity (probably) and reliability (kind of). Priced at MYR200 in 2017, Vanger epitomized the balance of affordability and quality, embodying the ethos of why I make pedals; affordable gear for the working musicians.
